Hello my lovelies & happy new year!
( Yes.. I know I’m a little bit late with that one)! Just like at the beginning of every new year, I have started 2020 feeling super motivated towards making some big changes in my life, and I am sure you’re all the same too! I thought now would be a great time to share with you all how I am planning to hold myself accountable & hit my goals in 2020 ! I have also created a FREE printable to help you hit yours too!
So this year, my main goal (along with growing my business) is to improve my health & fitness. I’ve never been one to be hitting the gym but it has dawned on me … at the grand old age of 30, how important it is to live a healthy lifestyle. So I am making gradual changes to help me get to where I want to be.
Below are my top 4 tips for helping you hit your goals in 2020 – whatever they may be!
- PLAN! MAKE AN ACTION PLAN! – Writing down your goals & having them somewhere visible is a great way to keep your self reminded of what it is that you are aiming to achieve. By writing down your goals & then further breaking that down into smaller manageable steps will make the whole process a lot less daunting . Also, by creating an action plan, you have something that you can look back on daily/weekly to make sure you are moving forward and staying focused.
- TRACK YOUR PROGRESS! – As mentioned in the previous tip – by tracking your progress you will physically be able to see how far you have come, and how far you have left to go in order to hit your goal. A great way to track your progress is to check in with yourself daily or weekly (whichever works for you)! I personally find it best to check in with myself daily, and I do this by reminding myself of why I am doing what I am doing, what steps do I still need to take to move forward and tick off the tasks for that day that will move me closer to my goal.
- PRIORITISE! – Make time for you!! A lot of people find this incredibly difficult and don’t realise the importance of putting yourself first & making time for some self care. Only you are accountable for hitting your goals, make them & yourself a priority!
- DON’T GIVE UP! – You will have bad days. It will happen. Accept it for what it is & get back on track the next day. Remember – small steps will lead you to the place you want to be, a few stumbles along the way are going to happen. Just don’t give up!
